never though of anything except growing wal mart
saw his father survive making a small profit on each side
his parents qurrelsome perople
he joined the boy scouts and made himself local hero
was vice presedent of the student council in high school
he started at a jc penny company and got paid 75 dollars a month
almost got fired and boss said he was not cut out for retail work
quit jc pennys to join the army
got marred on valetines day in 1944
had first child in december 1944
in 1945 he bought a store
with 3 years he repaid the loan from his father inlaw
he build his store on town center everyone loved him and his store
his sons helped at the store
in ten years he had 16 stores in arkensaw
made a million dollars in sales in his first year
soon will be opening about 100 stores per year
became the worlds largest retailer in 1991
on april 5 1992 he died
